Compared to other storage devices in it's class, the MCA2600 makes sequential and random acdess data transfers in a fraction of the time. The MCA2600's maximum data transfer rate can reach of 3.4MB per second because of its high data density, 3,000 RPM rotational speed and 39ms seek time.

Low Profile Design
The MCA2600's low profile, half-height design will occupy a minimum amount of desktop space. The enclosure occupies the smame footprint as other devices in it's class.

Ultimate Date Security
The MCA2600 uses unique thermomagnetics of magneto-optical recording to ensure the integrity of your valuable data far into the future. Unlike magnetic media like floppy disks, tape, ZIP and SyQuest; information cannot be accidentally corrupted or erased by magnetic fields.

Standardized Media
Because magneto-optical media is manufactured by a variey of major media suppliers in accordance with international standards, availability and compatibility will never be a concern. Media can also be exchanged with livrary auto changer. (Jukebox)

Backward Compatible
In addition to 2.6 and 2.3GB cartridges, this flexible drive works freely with 1.2GB, !.3GB, 650MB, and 600MB media capacities and direct overwrite media.
