The S600C is the first product of its type, designed to offer high end scanning capabilitie at an affordable price. Unique styling and form factor sets the S600C apart from other scanning solutions in this category. The ADF (auto document feeder) enables scanning of multiple sheets unattended. The S600C offers up to 600 DPI optical resolution (up to 4800 DPI translated) and is designed to work well with removable storage devices, such as CD-recoredable and magneto-optical storage.
Performance
The S600C is perfrct for personal document imaging, while allowing full color capabilities and SCSI performance. Resolution is fully adjustable, so throughput and image quality can be adjusted to fit specific imaging needs. Modes from 1 bit black and white to 24 bit full color are easily selected from the user interface.
SCSI-2 Interface
Most other solutions in this category use the slower serial or parallel interfaces, but the S600C allows high speed SCSI-2 throughput, so high resolution, full color images can be achieved without the wait of a seial or parallel port. Using SCSI-2 also means that full compatibility with most any system can be achieved with a single device.
OCR
Offered with the S600C at no extra charge is Textbridge OCR from Xerox, providing the best OCR capabilities available. The highly acclaimed PageManager document management software allows simple processing of image information and allows documents to be directed to email, fax, adn text. Any additional applications that can use image input like photo editing can be added to the easy to use interface
